The Wild Alchemist: A Living Newsletter for Art, Healing, and Everyday Magic

I finally found the container.

For a long time, I thought I was supposed to write a book.

I kept trying to gather everything I am into something finished and complete — my art, my poetry, healing work, everyday wisdom, spirituality, motherhood, grief, joy, creativity. Every time I tried to shape it into a book, it felt too small. Too final. Like I was freezing myself in one moment of time.

Then it clicked.

I don’t need a book.

I need a living publication.

Something that can grow as I grow. Something that can hold all of me without asking me to contort or abandon any part of myself.

That’s how The Wild Alchemist came to be.

The Wild Alchemist is a monthly creative newsletter I’ll be launching this spring. It’s a place where my artwork, oracle messages inspired by that art, poetry, healing reflections, and everyday magic all live together. It will also include practical alchemy — simple recipes, allergy-safe cleaning tips, and ways to care for your home and nervous system alongside your spirit.

This isn’t just a newsletter.

It’s a slow, soulful journal of becoming.

A place to breathe.
A place to feel.
A place to remember who you are.

Each issue will include original art, an oracle message, poetry, reflections on finding magic in the mundane, and gentle healing offerings as I continue my Reiki training. As it grows, I’ll also begin featuring other artists and creatives from the community, because this was never meant to be just about me — it’s about remembering we’re not alone in our creativity.

I’m starting simply and intentionally.

At launch there will be two ways to receive The Wild Alchemist:

A digital version of the full newsletter each month.

And a digital + mail option that includes the newsletter plus a mailed 2.5 x 3.5 oracle art print card (ATC/ACEO size) and a bonus sticker — a small piece of tangible magic sent to your door.

For now, the newsletter itself will be digital while I build and upgrade my printing setup. Physical mail will include the oracle art card and sticker. Printed newsletters and larger prints will come later as this grows.

Before subscriptions open, I’ll be releasing a free pilot issue.

This first issue is a gift — a way to share what I’m creating and let people experience The Wild Alchemist before it officially launches. After that, I’ll open subscriptions and begin building this slowly, sustainably, and in alignment with my real life and creative energy.

Now I get to work putting it all together.

Designing the template.
Writing the first issue.
Gathering art and photos.
Letting this take shape one page at a time.

This is Flame & Root becoming a tiny creative press.
This is art meeting healing.
This is me choosing coherence over fragmentation.

Thank you for being here at the beginning.
